Research center

Brief: feasibility study for a research center. Program included library, office area, conference room and an area for temporary researchers.
Concept: due to site constrictions and climate we decided to organize the spaces around an inner court. This triple height void improves natural ventilation and is use for the building internal circulation. The south facade is made of  louvers to screen solar radiation without blocking natural ventilation.
Project type: architectural design / schematic
Issues: institutional building, energy efficiency, multi-function, response to climate
