Management.

After starting my career as a designer I have been more and more involved in project and team management. I have lead different designing team, acted as coordinator between client, design team , contractors and other consultants.
I have organized several workshops for universities and organizations. Below some of the key experiences and projects that I have completed.

Through this course, I gained knowledge of the core elements of construction project management.  This includes how to plan, organize and control construction operations, and the undertaking of initial feasibility studies through to design, construction, maintenance, refurbishment and demolition.

Reconstruction Project manager in Nepal 

Working for Kam For Sud in the district of  Ramechhapp I have been managing several programs that supported the reconstruction process: the construction of a public clinic, the construction of two schools, training programs and technical support to the local house holds.

My main tasks included:
– team management (four members)
– financial monitoring
– planning of project activities
– organization, monitoring and evaluation of training program
– coordination with other stakeholder (community, governmental members, donors)
– reporting about the project


 

Australian Aid Identifier colour - 1200dpi Design and construction of five community centers. 

The project required to design (in a participative mode), monitor and build five centers in the communities that relocated due to the railway expansion. The first phase of the project included design activities run in the community to define the requirements and the design of each center. We used drawing and physical models to better visualize and discuss ideas. In the second phase we went through all the phase of design and build phases.

Main duties:
– project management through all the phases: team recruiting, community led design, tendering, procurement, site supervision
– budget monitoring and management
– relation with other stakeholders (AusAID, contractor, community)
